DRIVER’S AGE

The minimum age for the driver, as well as for the additional driver, is 23 years. The maximum age is 70 years.

DRIVING LICENSE AND PASSPORT OR IDENTITY

The driver and the additional driver must have a driving license issued at least one year before the rental date. The license should have been issued by a European Union country. In the case of a third country, it must hold an International Driving License, which must be accompanied by the driving license of his country. Both drivers must present their driver’s license, a valid identity card or passport when renting. All documents must be genuine. Copies are not accepted, rent cannot be made and no deposit is refundable.

RENTAL PERIOD/RENTAL TIME

The rental time is set to 1 day, calculated on a 24-hour basis.

METHOD OF PAYMENT AND GUARANTEE

If the tenant repays the rent in cash, the guarantee is 450 € and no debit or credit card is required.

If the tenant repays the rent by debit or credit card, the guarantee is 350 €.

The guarantee is refundable upon expiry of the lease. The company is not responsible for any delay in returning the guarantee from the bank.

VEHICLE CATEGORY

Booking a car applies only to the specific category of car you selected and not to a specific car model.

The images of the website are examples of the size and the characteristics of each category.

In case a category is not available, the company will deliver you a vehicle of the same or higher category at no extra cost.

BOOKING CHANGES

Bookings can be changed by phone or via e-mail. The price is recalculated according to the available cars at the current prices for the specific time period.

The first booking will be canceled and the second will be valid. Changes must be made promptly after the rental begins.

BOOKING CANCELLATION

Cancellation of the reservation is free up to 7 days before the rental begins and you will be refunded your deposit.

If the cancellation takes place less than 7 days before the rental begins, the deposit will not be refunded.

For a confirmed rental that does not take place due to invalid or missing documents, no-show, customer’s rapid withdrawal, or cancellation after the beginning of the rental period, no refunds are made.

There is no refund for the days when the car was not used during the rental period.

In case the rental does not receive the car on the agreed day and time without notice (by phone or e-mail) the reservation is canceled after 3 hours and will be charged with a day rental.

RENTAL CAR PICK-UP

All vehicles are delivered after a technical inspection to a privately owned workshop including internal and external cleaning.

The customer receives the vehicle from a company representative at the reported location, date and time. In case of customer’s delay, there is no change in the cost of renting.

In case of delay, the customer must inform the company (by phone or e-mail) at least 3 hours before the agreed time, in order to reschedule the pick-up, if possible.

If the customer will delay more than 30 minutes from the agreed time, the representative will return to the company.

Pick-up locations are Thessaloniki Port, Thessaloniki Airport, Macedonia Intercity Bus Station, Chalkidiki Intercity Bus Station, Thessaloniki Railway Station, Hotel (upon request) and our office.

In case of out-of-hours pick-up, the customer will be charged with an additional fee.

RENTAL CAR DROP-OFF

The customer is required to return the vehicle to a company representative by the referring location, date and time (max + 1 hour). Any modification requires the written consent of the company. Refunds or delays beyond 1 hour from the date indicated and up to the first 3 hours are charged 50% of the daily rent, and over 3 hours are charged as an extra day.

Pick-up locations are Thessaloniki Port, Thessaloniki Airport, Macedonia Intercity Bus Station, Chalkidiki Intercity Bus Station, Thessaloniki Railway Station, Hotel (upon request) and our office.

In case of out-of-hours drop-offs, the customer will be charged with an additional fee.

FUEL

The fuel burden the tenant and he has to return the car to the same level of gasoline that he received.

The renter is obliged to follow the specifications of the leased car and to fill the tank every time with the type of fuel required.

VEHICLE CONDITION

The tenant must inspect the vehicle internally and externally before each use, to protect it from potential danger, report damage to the company and return the vehicle to the exact same condition which received it.

PENALTIES AND VIOLATIONS

The tenant is responsible for fines, traffic offenses, illegal parking and administrative penalties, who are obliged to pay and deliver a certified copy of the deed or proof. Otherwise the amount of the fine / violation (plus the administration costs 15€) will be charged by our company either after the violation has been declared by himself at the time of delivery of the vehicle or after notification by the police or municipal authorities in a future time and without a time limit for these charges.

Authorized only by written approval of the company.

RENTAL OUT OF BORDERS

Now allowed.

PAYMENT METHODS

Our company offers alternative payment methods, such as cash payment, VISA card payment, MASTERCARD, MAESTRO, AMERICAN EXPRESS, VIVA WALLET, bank deposit,VIVA IBAN GR 717010000000062348669695 0, PayPal.Me/compassrentacar, REVOLUT  IBAN LT513250016150850000,  Piraeus IBAN GR8901722230005223098375993,    (you are obligated to declare your full name and the reservation number).

TAXES

All the above charges include 24% VAT as determined by the state.

KILOMETERS

The maximum mileage for car rental up to three days is 170 km / day. The price is set upon request. For rentals over three days there is no mileage. ”

INSURANCE

α)COMPASS RENT A CAR provides third party insurance only to those who use the car under its license, with an insurance policy whose terms have been checked by the tenant and accepted in full.

b) The Tenant, the authorized drivers and all the other passengers of the car are not covered by personal insurance, unless the Tenant accepts personal insurance at the commencement of the lease, accepting the personal accident insurance policy of the co-insured under the insurance policy of the affiliated insurer as mentioned in its official price list.

c) The tenant is responsible for the total or partial theft or loss of the car unless COMPASS RENT A CAR has released the tenant from the liability for the total theft or loss of the car. This exemption applies if the tenant has already accepted the daily charge and the (TPC) “car theft coverage” conditions at the start of the lease, as these terms are interpreted in the COMPASS RENT A CAR official price list and if the tenant has taken all precautions to prevent total theft or loss of the car and has used it in accordance with the terms of this agreement.

d) The luggage and other belongings of the tenant, of the authorized driver and the other occupants of the car are not covered by insurance and COMPASS RENT A CAR is not responsible for any loss, damage, etc. of those.

CDW: MIXED INSURANCE WITH 1000 € PARTIAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL CATEGORIES.

TPC: TOTAL LIABILITY AMOUNT 1000 € FOR ALL CATEGORIES.

e) The tires are not covered by any Insurance in case of damage.

f) Damage Insurance (CDW) does not cover any damage to the underside of the car (sump, gearbox and differential) if this leads to the edge of the asphalt (gutter) and on unpaved roads or spaces.
